Antonio’s Italian Cuisine: Reviews & Ratings
Homemade Italian food in a family owned Italian restaurant, what more could you ask for? Be prepared to take your time at a sit down restaurant and have a conversation while eating fresh bread dipped in olive oil and pesto, or soup and salad while waiting for your main course. Fine wine, full bar, cloth napkins, the full sit down restaurant experience that’s still cost less than the last time we went to a sit down chain.
4/7/23 Update. Not much to change. Everyone tried something new and we all liked our choices. Previous review: Overall it was a nice experience for dinner. We did not have reservations and we had 6 people. We only waited for about 5 minutes and it was fairly busy. The menu is complete with all the traditional Italian fair including make your own with a nice variety of sauces. The veal dishes were good. They were fresh cutlets as the price would require. The soups were awesome, and the fresh vegetables were very tasty to me although some said they were a bit over peppered. The tiramisu and cannolies were both really good. The waitress was extremely efficient, friendly and attentive. I would give 5 stars, but I thought the prices were a little high, and the decor is very in need of a refresh.
I went into this restaurant thinking that I would just be visiting another local Italian restaurant. I came out having THE BEST ITALIAN MEAL I have ever had!!! What a gem! From the crab cakes and calamari, mushroom soup to the salmon and fettuccine Alfredo…I am not sure you could pick anything that you won’t love here! I was guilty of sampling my husbands and I was just as impressed! Can’t wait to go back!!
I’ve tried lots of Italian this past year and this place by far was the best! Really enjoyed all of it!
We ordered a huge catering order. We needed to feed 50 people, this could have fed 80 or more. We had so much leftovers for people to take home- and they loved the food. Restaurant business is tough now of days and we were so happy with our order. Pasta, chicken cutlet, cannoli, fresh bread. So good. Thank you Antonios
Creamy garlic salad dressing was excellent, bread was warm and perfect, husband's ravioli were good, my aglio e olio was similar to Italy's (I grew up in Italy).
On 10/11 around 5pm, sitting on the left side of the restaurant at the second-to-last table, it was our first time at this restaurant, and we will definitely be back. I ordered the gluten free ziti with pesto and meatballs, and the Ultimate Chocolate Martini. Dinner was delicious and the martini was to die for! My boyfriend ordered penne with chicken, olive oil and garlic, which he enjoyed but would have liked a bit more garlic or salt to add flavor. He also got the Raspberry Kiss cocktail which was quite tasty! The only thing that was off for me with this experience was being sat at a table set with small plates, but never hearing anything from our server about bringing out bread. I chose to ask. Then she responded with, "Yes, but we don't seat with it just in case someone is ordering appetizers." I'm sorry, what? Make this make sense to me.
Now, I’ve always said that Italian food is like a good underdog story—it’s all about the heart you put into the sauce. My visit to Antonio’s on a Tuesday night was quieter than a library during a mime convention, but boy, did it have that authentic Italian spirit. The Scouting Report The Warm-Up: We kicked things off with these warm biscuits. They were fluffier than a newborn golden retriever and came with a side of that olive green seasoning. It’s the kind of start that makes you forget your worries, even if just for a minute. The Main Event: I tackled the Chicken Tortellini. It came drenched in a light, creamy sauce that knew its role—it was complimentary and supportive, like a good assistant coach, never trying to hog the spotlight. The Portion Size: Listen, you’d better come hungry. This plate had more staying power than a Premier League veteran. I couldn't even finish it all! The "Room for Improvement" I’ll be honest with ya—getting into the booths felt a bit like trying to fit a size 10 foot into a size 6 boot. There were maybe three or four inches between my belly and the table. It’s a bit of a squeeze, folks! If you’re built like a linebacker, you might feel like a sardine in a tin. The MVP The young lady waiting on us was a total gem. Kind, sharp as a tack, and knew that menu inside and out. That’s the kind of "people-first" attitude we love to see. Final Whistle: I truly enjoyed the vibe and the flavors. I’d definitely head back for a second leg of this journey—I’ll just be sure to request a table where my ribs have a little more breathing room!
